Only 15-days summer vacation likely for Delhi schools this year: Here's the reason

Schools in Delhi were scheduled to go on vacation from tomorrow, May 11, 2022 till June 28, 2022. But, the decision has now been changed by the authorities.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Only 15 days summer vacation in Delhi government schools.
  • From classes 3 to 12, the summer vacations will be of only 15 days i.e., from June 15 to June 30.
  • Only students from nursery to class 2 will be able to get a full summer vacation.
Everyone is waiting for summer vacations, be it teachers or students. However, this year, the holidays in Delhi government schools will be of just 15 days instead of about two months. The reason behind this is 'Mission Buniyaad'.

Actually, summer vacations in Delhi government schools usually happen around May 10, but this time it's not happening.

From classes 3 to 12, the summer vacations will be of only 15 days i.e., from June 15 to June 30.

MAIN REASON

In fact, in the last two years, there has been a loss in the education sector, due to which the government believes that there has been a learning gap among the students.

To bridge this gap, additional classes of about 35 days are being organised in the government schools.

Only students from nursery to class 2 will be able to get a full summer vacation.

Classes will be organised for students from third to ninth grade to prepare them for the future.

At the same time, in view of the board examinations for classes 10th to 12th, classes for preparation have been held in summer vacations even earlier.

Although it is obvious that the government has taken a decision, this year in Delhi the heat is also breaking records, so parents of students at government schools are also concerned about their health.

Since the classes started under Mission Buniyaad, the students have mixed attitudes about it.

They say that students are not being pressured to come to school during this time, efforts are being made to make them a part of it voluntarily.
